Canon MG5420 driver is a printer driver for Canon printers.
A printer driver is a software program that converts the data you send to your computer into instructions that your printer understands. If you print from an application, such as Microsoft Word, the application sends the data to the printer driver. The printer driver then converts this information into instructions that are understood by your specific printer.

The Canon PIXMA MG5420 offers the best photo quality and the ability to print on optical discs. This combination, as well as the unusually high text quality, makes it suitable for the home, home office or both.
The MG5420 is best perceived as a home-oriented MFP that can also serve for easy use in a home office. However, it lacks some important office-oriented features: there is no faxing capability and no automatic document feeder (ADF), which means the Letter-size flatbed sets a limit on the maximum paper size for scanning. It also lacks wired network support, and offers only Wi-Fi for network connectivity.
The MFP’s basic functions are limited to printing, scanning and copying. Additional features include scanning directly to or printing from a memory card, including printing directly from a memory card to a printable optical disc. You can also view images on memory cards using the 3.0-inch color display before printing.
