Canon DR-4010C is a device that allows you to print on paper, envelopes and other media. It has many features, such as the ability to print on both sides of the page, duplexing. Canon DR-4010C is also equipped with an automatic document feeder for copying and scanning documents.
The input tray, which holds 100 sheets, can be folded into the main unit when not in use, and the scanner and paper feed mechanisms are placed in one unit. The DR-4010C is equipped with the same three-line CMOS sensor as in more expensive Canon models, which is designed to improve quality by simultaneously reading each RGB color, and also has a shading mechanism to protect the sensor from paper dust.
The output quality is impressive, and we could see a clear improvement when using text with a resolution of 600 dpi. The CapturePerfect text enhancement modes are a bit unfortunate: although the text quality has been improved, it has scattered an unsightly mess of dots and smears across the image.
However, scanning color photos at a speed of 600 dots per inch with the selected 24-bit color gave surprisingly good results, with absolutely no noticeable stripes. The scanner also has an automatic color detection mode, which, as we found, works perfectly, which eliminates the need to separate documents before scanning.
Scanning directly to the mail is quite simple, since you simply select this option when uploading documents. You choose PDF, TIFF or BMP formats, and the scanner scans each page, creates a file or files, and opens your email client with a new message containing them as attachments.
